Introducing Massage and Bodywork by

Of Ananda (Bliss) Massage & Bodywork
My journey into the world of massage therapy began around twenty years ago as a client, and it has changed my life. My first experiences with massage correlated with a number of other life-altering events; I had begun practicing kung fu and meditation. Incidentally, it was around that time that I also moved out of my parents’ house to live on my own for the first time. The most amazing aspect of the massage sessions was that I had never reached such a level of relaxation in my life. I experimented with a few different therapists and became more impressed after noticing numerous benefits of having massage sessions on a regular basis. I was more alert and focused, had increased energy and stamina, was able to alleviate physical stress from exercise and work and decrease recovery time from injuries as well as diminish mental and emotional stress as well. I respected that my therapist had the knowledge and ability to help me and others work toward living without pain and stress – without taking medication. While I of course appreciate what medical doctors do in general, and many of the ways in which they treat a never-ending multitude of diseases, injuries and ailments, I know from both professional and personal experience, we quite often experience pain that cannot be detected by any device nor effectively treated with any medication. In many cases, various methods must be applied in order to manipulate the body’s soft tissue (without getting too esoteric here) and the body’s subtle energy. That is when an effective therapist comes into play and that is what I, many years after my first experiences with massage therapy, strive to be each time I am in a client session – an effective, passionate, knowledgeable and professional massage and bodywork specialist.
I am a licensed, nationally certified massage therapist and a graduate of the National Massage Therapy Institute. Besides working from the office of doctors Michael and Melissa McCue at Colonial Valley Chiropractic and doing house calls, I am also the lead therapist at a high volume spa, where I train and coach other massage therapists in clinical massage techniques and customer service, in addition to taking clients throughout the day. At night I teach kung fu. I am the most senior instructor at Southern Shaolin Academy under Sifu Louis Diaz. I live in Ewing, NJ with my beloved wife, Chris and our cool cats, Pablo and Tiger Lily.
